How do I receive a quote?

Please email us at [email protected] to receive a complementary quote.

What ISO Code can we achieve?

Depending on the type of fluid we can generally achieve an ISO Code of 13/11/10 or better which far exceeds many of the manufactures specifications.

What will I receive when the job is completed?

Depending on the service involved, our clients will get a final ISO Code Report for the oil, service report, along with a final recommendation.

How do I know when my equipment is in need of maintenance?

We will work with the client on a spec sheet we designed this includes questions such as oil capacity, temperature, frequency, ISO Code required, and other questions that pertain to the equipment.  Once all the questions are answered then we can make a recommendation for each specific piece of equipment.  Our software program will alert us when your equipment is due for servicing. You will provided with a notification reminder to book your next servicing appointment.

Can I hire a consultant?

Yes, we can be hired to consult projects.  We find that positioning ourselves as a liaison for the end user and manufacturer we are able to give a recommendation that is both beneficial to both parties.

How long do oil filters last?

This a tough question to answer because the life of your oil filters depend upon the cleanliness of the oil, the oil type, amount of filters in the system, and efficiency of the filters in the system.

Why is temperature control important?

During any filtration process if heat is applied you can not exceed the oil specifications as it will burn the oil and deplete the oil additives.  Every oil is specific and should be looked at individually as we work with the oil companies to confirm oil specifications.

How hot can oil get?

The temperature of the oil cannot exceed the manufacturers specification sheet.

How does a Preventative Maintenance Program  save a company money?

1: Reduces down time.
2: Increase operational efficiency.
3: reduce the risk of expensive reactive maintenance.
4: Increase the life of the equipment.
5: Improved customer service.
6: Reduces failures.

What benefits do I receive from becoming a Guay customer?

When you are registered as a client with our company, you will gain access to our Software Program that provides updates on when maintenance is required and the status of your equipment.

Does Guay adhere to safety standards?

All Guay staff are certified and trained for the job at hand.  Guay employees meet all industry safety standards.

What type of fluid do we service?

We are able to filter all types of oils, this includes hydraulic oil, lube oil, gear oil, and specialty oils.  We also filter Diesel Fuel as well!!

What happens if the wrong oil filter is used?

Using the wrong oil filter can negatively impact the oil system.  If the differential pressure exceeds the housing bypass setting then the oil will not be filtered  thus bypassing the filter media.  This could potentially lead to the filter media being damaged and letting the contaminants into the system that the filter is supposed to protect.

How do oil filters work?

The oil filter is designed to handle the flow rate, oil type, oil viscosity, temperature and provide protection to the most sensitive parts of the system.  The oil in the system is only as efficient as the filter in the system.

What difference is a filter cart VS our filtration equipment?

An oil filtration unit provides protection from harmful contaminants.  Depending on the design of the filtration unit and efficiency of the filters predetermines what the filter unit is designed for.  Generally speaking, a filter cart is designed to pre-filter the oil or kidney loops. Our filtration units are specifically designed in-house. Each unit has over 500-1000 hrs of R&D before leaving for the field.   All our equipment has to achieve an ISO Code of 13/12/10 and at a specific flow rate.  The flow rate is pre-determined by the type of oil needed to filter being lube oil, hydraulic oil, specialty oil, gear oil and diesel fuel.

Generic filter carts are designed to prefilter the oil at no specific set oil cleanliness.  They are made generally for prefiltering the oil to keep the large debris out of the system.
